Scream
The Strangers
Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003
My Bloody Valentine (what was that 08 or 09?)
Wolf Creek
Halloween (07)
Halloween (78)
Friday the 13th part 2-4

The reason that Halloween 78 is so low, is because my slasher standards, it didnt live up to them. it was a different kind of horror/slasher film.

Aside from all the obvious ones I'd choose The burning, madman, original mbv and the prowler.
These are some great great flicks. The pitchfork in the shower from the prowler is still my fav savini effect ever

Anyone think Peeping Tom can be considered a slasher?

lets be honest, i don't consider psycho to be a "slasher" but if it was it most definitely should be number 1, because think of it without psycho we wouldn't have the movie halloween, i mean maybe not even the texas chainsaw massacre considering norman bates is also based off of ed vein just as well as leather face, but in the end psycho set the standard for modern day horror films
